Overview
The Solution Management's Design function is concerned with the translation of customer requirements into products & services and the quantity of products and services at each location. Design obtains base product and services from the Common Product Catalog with existing and orders in the pipe and tailor them according the customer requirements into solution(s).
Functionality
- Importing Customer Site Configuration – Importing existing inventory and constructing a new design based on the captured solution requirements and pending orders in the pipe. (existing and orders in the pipe shall be distinct on the design).
- Selecting relevant Products and Services from Catalog – Browse and select entries from a catalog that might be relevant to the set of captured requirements into the design.
- Design – editor to combine & configure the emerged solution based on the existing solution, planned changes and newly designed features (e.g. for site connectivity services)
- Automatic Validation – Obtain configurations constraints from the catalog and validates the correctness of the design against them.
- Manual Validation – Trigger a human validation procedure prior to solution submission.
- Variations management – Enable the creation of multiple solutions either from scratch or based on a cloned solution select desired variation.
